PORTSMOUTH, NH— The sacrifice and heroism of generations of Port City firefighters came to the forefront Thursday night as hundreds turned out for the formal dedication of the newest addition of city-owned public art called "Vigilance."
"It makes us think about the tireless commitment of our firefighters," said Mayor Tom Ferrini . "For them it never stops, it never ends. It's not a question of if, but when and they always have to answer the call."
